The Truth.

Why do people deny GOD? I don't have the answer.
Why do people deny the existence of GOD? Again, I don't have an answer.
How can I believe in GOD? How can I not?
I am good at asking questions, but can I find the answers to those questions? There is no simple answer that I can give. I believe all questions need an explanation, especially where GOD is concerned. I need you the reader to believe what I write about. I write about the truth. I write about GOD, who I believe with everything that I am is truth.
In John 14:6, Jesus says " I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." The proof is in GODs Word. The proof is in Jesus' words.
I have seen too much in my life, been through too much in my life to not believe in GOD. Everyday that I wake up proves that GOD exists. I don't deserve life, but Jesus took care of that for me on the cross. Jesus died for my sins and if I choose to believe in him, then I will have eternal life.
I believe. I pray that someone out there reading this will believe as well.
  GOD Bless.

Where is Jesus?

1 Corinthians 1:8-He will also keep you firm to the end, so that you will be blameless on the day of our Lord Jesus Christ.

It's all about Jesus. Everything I do must be about Jesus. When I am not focused on Christ, I am off the path designed for me. I am not living with the purpose of Christ. If Jesus cannot be found in whatever my thoughts are set upon, then I must abandon those thoughts and focus my mind on Jesus.
Is Jesus in the book I'm reading?
Is Jesus in the movie I'm watching?
Is Jesus in the words I'm writing?
If the answer is no, then I pray that God will guide me to always focus on Jesus.

Choosing to Believe

We all have an open invitation to spend eternity in Heaven with Jesus.
Yet, in man's unbelief, we turn him down and choose our own path. Why is it so difficult for a person to believe that GOD sent his one and only son, Jesus, to die for our sins? Is it better to live in our denial of the one who offers us eternal life? It's a choice to openly devote one's self to Jesus because we cannot see him.
This brings Thomas,a.k.a."Doubting Thomas"to mind.(See John 20:24-29)Thomas doubted that Jesus had risen from the dead. It was only when Thomas saw Jesus with his own eyes and touched him with his own hands that he believed. Jesus says in verse 29 of John 20,"Because you have seen me, you have believed; blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed." One could read this and chalk it up to another fairy tale told. I choose to believe that Jesus died on the cross for mine and your sins-past, present and future. All we have to do is confess our sins, believe in Jesus and turn away from our sinful nature, living a life modeled after Jesus himself.
What separates us from spending eternal life in Heaven or Hell is a simple choice. Man's sin nature gets in the way and makes this an impossible choice. For me the choice is simple. I choose to follow Jesus Christ. I pray that one day, if you do not know Jesus as your Lord and Savior, that you will come to know him as well.

Praise and Glory belong to GOD

Reading and listening to the lyrics of the song Glory, written and performed by Common and John Legend, They write about a false glory, glory given to a man.
 They sing:
One day, when the glory comes
It will be ours, it will be ours
Oh, one day, when the war is one
We will be sure,we will be sure
Oh, glory, glory
Oh, glory.glory

There is no true glory to be found in any man. The praise and glory belong to GOD and GOD alone.

Psalm 29;1-2 says(1) Ascribe to the LORD, O might ones,
ascribe the LORD glory and strength.
                              (2) Ascribe to the LORD the glory due his name;
worship the LORD in the splendor of his holiness.
My accomplishments are not my own. They are made possible by GOD. To him I give the praise and glory alone.
I didn't do anything. GOD did.

It's been a long time.

It's been a long time.
It's been a long time since I've written about anything.
So here I am. Back in front of the keyword to say that I'm ready to give this writing thing another shot.
The question, I guess you could ask, is where have I been?
The answer? Being lazy and very, very unproductive.
I have been reading. I guess that's something on the productive level.
I've been reading lots of fiction murder thrillers from the likes of James Patterson, Lee Child and my latest discovery, Terri Blackstock.
I consider all these books I've read "escapist reads". Escaping from my life into the fictional world of someone else. Whoever said that reading takes you places was 100 percent correct.
I love to read about as much as I love watching movies. For anyone who knows me, that is saying a lot..
So now the question is what am I going to write about?
My passion is still in writing screenplays. Or is it a 35 year old dream yet to be realized?
I don't know, but I am going to give it another shot.
In the meantime, I will do my best to hone my writing skills by blogging anything that comes to my mind.
Here's to a new beginning. I hope and pray that I will find a few readers interested in what i have to say along the way.
God Bless and thank you for taking the time to drop by and read my blog.

It's been too long.

It's been too long since the last time I wrote anything on this blog. Let me say this, although I have withstood many challenges since my last blog post, and undergone internal and external changes, one thing has not changed about me-my love for Jesus Christ.
I have stumbled and I have fallen, but by the grace of GOD, I get back up and keep following Jesus.
I hope to continue to post on a more frequent basis. I feel that GOD has blessed me with the skill and love for writing. I hope and pray that my ups and downs will inspire someone out there to follow Jesus Christ. To seek him with all their heart and soul.
This is all I have for now.
GOD Bless all.

Calling on GOD!

2 Smauel 2:1(a)- In the course of time, David inquired of the LORD....

I like to ask myself questions after reading my Bible, but seldom can I answer them.
Here is a question I managed to answer.
How often do I "inquire" of the LORD? Only when I'm in trouble or of great need?
I find myself inquiring of GOD more and more each day. I am not afraid to admit that I don't know what I'm doing. Who better than my creator, the LORD my GOD, to inquire about the direction of my life.
When I find myself at peace from worry or trouble, I do my very best to thank GOD for all he does for me and my family. Once upon a time, that was not the case. I would go about my merry little way, but then when all hell broke loose, I cried out to GOD to rescue me. He did. Then I afterwards, I went about my merry little way-again. Eventually, after repeating this cycle over and over again, I finally decided to thank GOD and seek him more and more.
What happens as a result of continually seeking GOD, no matter the circumstance? A relationship develops and a dependence on GOD takes root. That's what GOD wants-for his creation-US- to seek him in the good and the bad.

Isaiah 55:6 says "Seek the LORD while he may be found. Call on him while he is near."
My prayer is that I will continue to seek you LORD, every moment of every day. I thank for always being there for me, even when I ignored you. Forgive me for that. Thank you for all you do. In  Jesus name I pray. AMEN.
